Hi everyone -- long time no see. I am VERY sorry for that but between 3 baby showers, my Dad's wedding, Thanksgiving, Christmas, work and just being pregnant time got away from me and I really haven't touched my computer in months. Anywho, as you can tell Shawn Michael Stuart arrived about 3 weeks early on December 30th, 2008 at 4:38am. My delivery was very fast but not easy by any means (I almost dislocated my hips trying to deliver him - he just barely fit through. Any bigger and I would have needed a C-Section). Anyway, at 2am my water broke and we were at the hospital by about 2:20 and he came a few hours later. I had to spend an extra day in the hospital because my iron levels were really low but things are getting better day by day with that.
We got to bring Shawn home on January 1st and he is such a good baby! He rarely ever fusses and cries and I even have to wake him up 2 times during the night to feed him. I think he would sleep straight through if I let him but he needs to be fed, so I have to set my alarm clock to wake me up, lol. He has the cutest little face and does look just like me (he got his height, hair color and complexion from Michael - which is great because that's what I wanted). He is such a cuddle-bug and we snuggle all evening long while watching tv. I couldn't be more happy that he is here but also that he is so content with his surroundings and is very comfortable here at home.
Oh and I must say that while I have watched baby boys, I have really never been around them as much as baby girls. The first night I had him home it was 2:30am and I was changing & feeding him and he peed all over his own head! I just laughed and cleaned him off -- I honestly took my eyes off him for 1 second and next thing I did was look at his face and it was all wet, lol. Oh the joys of little boys....
We did just get a video camera this evening, so we can now take movies of him so I will post some of those when I can. I have a few pictures to show you all since it will be a little bit inbetween visits since I will be busy from now on!

Please no more pictures -- this was taken when he was not even 1 day old. He hated having his arms all bound up, so he always managed to get one arm free so he could move around a little bit. The nurses put him in a little Santa hat because he was born so close to Christmas.

Here is his hospital picture -- he was crying right before they took the picture but he still looks so cute! He was 3 days old in this picture.

I took this picture this afternoon when he snoozing after eating his lunch. It is amazing that he is already 5 days old!
